The 1st International Workshop “Organic farming: a sustainable model for transition in the 
Mediterranean” of the Italian Research Group on Organic Framing (GRAB-IT) will be held at the Faculty of Agriculture of the Polytechnic University of Marche in Ancona on May 10-11, 2012.
GRAB-IT is the oldest Italian organic farming research body, founded in 1996. In conjunction with this 1st International Workshop the 5th National Workshop will be held. Read more…
The meeting of the European Federation of Animal Science takes place in Bratislava, Slovakia, August 27th-31st, 2012
One of the main objectives of the meeting is to focus on sustainability and efficiency of the livestock sector. Programme will cover all aspects of scientific achievements withinanimal science dealing with genetics, animal breeding, farm management and technology,product quality, nutrition, physiology, health and animal welfare, and other related topics. In April 2011, all the SOLID project partners met for the kick-off meeting in Wales, UK. The leaders from each of the seven so-called Work Packages presented all the work objectives and plans, and the management team rounded up the meeting in good spirit by displaying the high ambitions for the large EU project which runs in five years.
SOLID is a European project on Sustainable Organic and Low Input Dairying financed by the European Union. The project runs from 2011-2016. 25 partners from 10 European countries participate in the project. Read more…
