Scientific Seminar on Organic Food 2014 – open, critical and collaborative approaches

SOLID project is present at the Scientific Seminar on Organic Food 2014 in Finland

The seminar is aimed at researchers and other experts of the whole food chain as well as politicians and civil servants for sharing their expertise and collaboration. Speakers of the seminar are outstanding researchers from Finland, other European countries and Canada.

Themes of the seminar are:

•    Current trends of organic food research
•    Quality and origin of organic food
•    Health reputation of organic Food
•    Organic food and society

SOLID project is present at the Seminar in the form of a general project introduction, which is supported by presentations  describing the environmental assessment (WP4) and  future challenges of the organic milk supply chain in Europe (WP5).

The seminar takes place on 5-7 November 2014 in Mikkeli, Finland – more information here. The seminar is organized by the Finnish Organic Research Institute (FORI), which is a multidisciplinary research organization operating under the University of Helsinki and MTT Agrifood Research Finland. The Institute promotes organic food production and consumption throughout the Finnish food chain by the means of research, science communication, education and development projects.
